Teaching and field placements
The CSSS Cavendish-CAU has the mandate of recruiting and training students at the college level and from the three university cycles from different disciplines in the field of health and social services. This includes international students as well. The teaching program consists of different supervision models, a student orientation and integration program as well as support for field placement supervisors and their teams.
The CSSS Cavendish and its Centre for Research and Expertise in Social Gerontology receive students in the following fields: social services, counselling, psychology, applied social sciences, specialized technical education, recreology, nursing, rehabilitation, gerontology, homecare, anthropology, public health, psychoeducation and kinesiology.

- Orientation seminars and training offered throughout the year
- A milieu which enables the student to have contact with research and practice
